Agios Sillas, Griekenland

Agios Sillas is a Traditional Cretan Village located just 15 km from Heraklion City and it is known especially for its people and the green environment. Be ready to enjoy the Cretan hospitality.
All Basic supplies shop (Supermarket, groceries shop, butcher shop, bakery, pharmacy, gas station) are in close distance.

In the village you will find also a very traditional café where you can have a taste of an original Greek coffee or the beverage of your choice and local liker (Raki) with some very tasteful meze.

Agios Silas is a good spot to start any excursion. With a 15min distance you will enter the highway from where you can go anywhere on the island. The village is located in the middle of Heraklion region so with a small drive (15-25 min) you are able to explore the inner Crete observe some traditional Cretan Villages like Archanes which is well known for it’s architecture, wine and food tradition. Fourni small forest is also a place you may visit for relaxation and landscape observation.
The closest beach is Amoudara which is just 15km away on the west side of Heraklion city and Karteros beach that is 20km away on the eastern part of Heraklion city. Both beaches are long & sandy ideal for children. There you will also find beach bars and tavernas to enjoy nice food & drinks.

In a distance of 15-20 min you can visit the main city of Heraklion or others traditional villages and also find very nice restaurants and cafes to enjoy your time.
